Joint Executive Programme in Sports Management of HSE and FIFA/CIES Holds Fifth Commencement
HSE University’s Executive Programme in Sports Management held its fifth graduation ceremony on campuses in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This year, the programme awarded Master’s degrees to 45 graduates who completed final projects that focused on the advancement of the sports industry in Russia.
HSE University Launches Russia’s First Online English-Taught Master's Programme
This academic year, HSE University will begin admissions to its new online Master's programme in Data Science, which will be offered on Coursera, the world’s leading online learning platform. The application deadline for admission to the programme is December 6. Courses begin in February. Upon the successful completion of the programme, students will receive a Master’s degree from HSE University, which is internationally recognized.
HSE Advocates for Environmental Transparency
More than 40% of Russian citizens consider changing their place of residence due to environmental problems. This was a statistic cited by Lyaila Sinyatullina, Head of the Department of Advanced Studies at HSE University’s Institute for Public Administration and Governance, at a roundtable dedicated to an environmental information bill that will be reviewed by the Russian State Duma.

HSE University Brings Major Conference in Philosophical Logic to Russia for the First Time
On October 2-4, HSE University hosted the international conference Trends in Logic 19. Current Issues in Philosophical Logic for the first time in Russia. The conference, which attracted a number of prominent Russian and international scholars, was organized jointly by the journal Studia Logica and the HSE International Laboratory for Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy.

Registration for the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project for international applicants to Russian Master’s programmes is open until December 18. The competition consists of two online rounds. The first round is a portfolio competition.
HSE University Becomes Partner of Kyokushin Karate World Cup
On October 6, for the first time, Moscow hosted the Kyokushin Karate World Cup. The world tournament brought together athletes from more than 30 countries. HSE University participated in the event as one of the tournament’s newest official partners.
HSE Celebrates 25 Years of Educational Partnerships with the Netherlands
On October 2 and 3, HSE University simultaneously celebrated two anniversaries of Russian-Dutch academic cooperation: the 25th anniversary of joint educational programmes between HSE University and Erasmus University Rotterdam, and the 10th anniversary of the Dutch educational center, Nuffic Neso Russia, with which HSE has a long-standing partnership.
Where Prototyping Meets Law: Visiting Lecturer Talks Citizen Sensing at HSE
Anna Berti Suman, PhD candidate at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) of Tilburg University and Visiting Researcher at the European Commission Joint Research Center (JRC), recently spent a week at HSE’s Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism as a Visiting Lecturer.
