Having partner companies is an important factor in the competitiveness of any Master’s programme. One of the partners of the programme ‘Germanica: History and Modernity’, which launched last year at the Faculty of Humanities, is the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce. Already in their first year of study, several students have been hired by the Chamber as interns.

At the 2021 RusCrypto Competition, HSE PhD student Anastasia Malashina (MIEM) won the student report category by the unanimous decision of the competition committee, which included the directors of the RusCrypto-2021 Association, members of the programme committee, and experts in the field of computer security. Using transcranial magnetic stimulation, Russians scientists were able to precisely track inter-muscle interactions between cortical representations of arm muscles. In the future, this method will help track brain changes in patients with motor disorders. The study was published in Human Brain Mapping.
